@OneSweetWorldLIOG I eat 85% or more some days raw. You assume mush. Weird. Anyway, learn about bees – real facts, not typical incorrect vegan propaganda.

Ummmm…GMO crops (genetically modified) are the reason why the bees are in trouble….not bee product consumers.

Yes they are. Plants are living beings and DO feel pain and experience consciousness & emotion. Again you show your ignorance. Read “The Secret Life of Plants”. You really should educate yourself before making silly assumptions.

I’m not angry (wrong yet again) and this isn’t an issue of compassion. If you truly understood bees and their biology, you’d never make that statement, but you are ignorant of honey bees and honey production, so there’s no point in discussing it with you. We care for bees out of compassion and feed them honey ONLY harvesting surplus. You simply don’t get it. Learn about bees. They need our help NOW!

Sadly some folks just never make a compassionate connection. Why you are such an angry person I don’t understand. I can only hope that in “real life” you are more polite to those you encounter. You should look into raw foods which is much healthier than a standard vegan diet.

WrONG! It’s a fact that a low fat vegan diet is what humans were intended to eat, what is healthiest, and what eradicates disease in our species. Wow, you really don’t know much about biology or bees. Or maybe you’re not telling the truth or whatever school you went to was a rip off. But the fact is that in organic/biodynamic beekeeping, you never “steal” honey.

Being vegan is about ethics. Not science.

You need to learn some biology and facts about honey bees. Ignorance isn’t attractive.

No man, animals and plants are not the same. You’re getting way to agitated over a youtube clip. What are you David Wolfe’s mom? lol

Do you “ask” plants to die for you before you pluck or rip them from the ground? Do you consider gardening “stealing”?What about that wood you built your home with? You stole & took it without asking. What about the fiber for your clothes? Plants are just like bees – living beings. So to be blessed with the bounty of honey bees, who, by the way, are endangered right now, and are in more need than ever for humans to build hives for them to live in. Learn about bees! They need our help.

When you take what is not yours without permission it is stealing. Surplus has nothing to do with it. If you have extra money in a savings account and I take it without permission it would be stealing. And on a more personal note’ there is no need to be mean or rude about it. It’s just a discussion and getting agitated isn’t helpful to anyone…least of all your own path to enlightenment. Balance your energy. Best to you. :-)

@OneSweetWorldLIOG If you actually knew facts about bees, you’d understand that there is no “stealing” from the bees. Bees make a surplus of honey which is what conscious bee keepers harvest for consumption. Most vegans are totally ignorant of this fact. SURPLUS HONEY ONLY. Bees are free creatures and do what they wish. Bee keepers ONLY create a healthy home for bees & hope they don’t swarm. Bee keepers are like bee slaves. Know your facts BEFORE posting such nonsense and incorrect information.

I wasn’t trying to take away David Wolfe’s rights. I just don’t want the term used incorrectly because it confusing the mainstream people and then they make me go through “the list”…lol.

You didn’t have to overreact like this. Mine wasn’t a message of anger. Yours shouldn’t have been either. I just don’t want the term vegan to be confusing for the mainstream public.

@onesweetworldLIOG : you use ‘vegan’ like some religious mantra. Why do you call taking some honey, bee pollen and propolis from a hive theft? You don’t take ALL.Also, a bee lives for 6 weeks. Can’t think of them in human terms. Shall I call you a murderer just because every time you touch your nose you accidentally kill about 500.000 bacteria that have been living on it for the past few hours? Worse than that, you are a serial killer if you touch anything more than once!David’s trying to help!!!

Actually I’ve heard DW say something along the lines, referring to veganism “thank god we got rid of dogma and that’s over with.” so I don’t think he refers to himself as vegan. I still use the term with people that don’t know about the terms, but I consciously try not to refer to myself as vegan because I consume honey and play musical instruments (I hope you don’t listen to music). I’m just trying to be healthy. Read some Derrick Jensen, he has an interesting perspective on vegetarianism.

Perhaps all of we vegans could steal David Wolfe’s royal jelly and honey and give it back to the bees.

David Wolfe has confused me for quite sometime. I know he wants to call himself a vegan but he really shouldn’t use that term. He steals from Bees and he eats insects. I don’t think he should be locked up but I do think he needs to stop referring to himself as a vegan. It’s like people who call themselves vegetarian and then list the meats that they eat. It just makes it harder for the rest of us when we encounter the general public.

I’m wondering how ethical is it to take away the Royal Jelly from bees? It has amazing helath benefits to us, but when bees are in such danger now how can we take away something so precious from them? Please let me know ..

You can’t knock proper raw chocolate, that really is a super food. Manuka honey too is great for your immune system.

Thank you , thas the first comment that I’ve read with this point of view..In days gone by honey was never considered vegan or raw vegan . Honey is an animal product .Not to say that its not good to eat but I never heard of vegans eating honey until I discovered YouTuBE.
